Effective October 28, 2026 · Denver, Colorado
On The Hook Auto Recycling buys and recycles vehicles in the Denver metro. To make an offer and collect a car we need some information about you and the vehicle, and this page explains exactly what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.
When you request an offer, we collect the information you type into the form: the year, make, model, and VIN of your vehicle, its mileage, condition, title status, body style, transmission, color, keys, and any accident or damage notes, along with your ZIP code.
To arrange a pickup and pay you, we also collect your name, phone number, and the street address, city, and state where the vehicle is located. Giving us an email address is optional.
Our server records the IP address a submission came from, only to block automated spam and repeated submissions from the same connection.
Submissions are stored in the secure database behind this website and are visible only to our staff through an admin portal that requires a sign-in. Messages about your inquiry are delivered to our business email inbox.
If you reach us by clicking a Google Ads result, the link contains an anonymous click identifier (a “gclid”, “gbraid”, or “wbraid”). We save that identifier in your browser’s local storage for up to 90 days and attach it to your inquiry so we can tell Google that a purchase came from a particular ad.
We do not set advertising or analytics cookies of our own, and we do not use this identifier to build a profile of you. Google may set its own cookies when you click one of our ads; that is governed by Google’s privacy policy, not ours.
We also store a coarse lead source (Google Ads, Google Organic, Referral, or Direct) based on the referring website. You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.
We share only what is necessary with: the licensed tow operator assigned to collect your vehicle (your name, phone number, and pickup address); our email and hosting providers that run this website; Google, to report the conversion described above; and government agencies where title, tax, or legal reporting requires it.
Inquiry records are kept while your offer is open and afterwards as long as we need them for our business records, warranty and title documentation, and legal obligations. Records we no longer need are deleted.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Colorado residents have these rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising — we do not run targeted advertising on this website. To make a request, contact us using the details below and tell us the name, phone number, or vehicle the request relates to so we can find your record.
If you have already submitted an inquiry and want it removed, we will delete it once any open transaction or legal obligation is resolved.
This service is for adults selling or disposing of a vehicle. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
If the way we handle information changes, we will update this page and change the date below. Questions about anything here are welcome at the phone number or email above.
